Christmas Came Early

First thank you everyone for the continued support over the last week. Christmas has come early for us Busta's - we were blessed to learn late last week that the pathology reports all came back negative for the tumors removed last Monday - NO CANCER! WOOHOO! This is a huge blessing and even larger relief. I'll continue serious testing every 6 months for the next 5-10 years, with the chance of them returning being slim.
Our lives will begin to regain some normalcy after I get back to work in January. Until then, next few weeks will be filled with rest and relaxation and the holiday's. Hopefully I can prevent myself from going nuts from cabin fever. For those that know me I find it hard not to be busy and I already (yes believe it or not) miss my job. However, I have a ton of crocheting projects on the docket as well as a full arsenal of movies that are ready to be enjoyed. For those that are near feel free to give me a call if you want to swing in and visit - I love the company and distraction.

Turkey with a side of borderline toumors

I hope this note finds everyone well. It has been a crazy last couple of day's here at the Busta's. For those that don't know here's the scoop. Last Monday I wasn't feeling very well and I thought my appendix had gone bad, so I took a lil trip to the ER. After some serious testing, I was admitted due to some questionable spots on my scans. After an investigative surgery they found that I have a bunch of tumors called Pipalary Serus Borderline Tumors hanging out in my pelvic area. (Their kinda all over). So after a couple day stint in the hospital we ventured home with a scheduled meeting with a specialist on the horizon. This past Monday, Joe and I visited with our new found BFF at Minnesota Oncology (very nice place by the way). The conversation went basically like this - Dr: "Every thing's going to be ok - very tiny TINY chance that they may be malignant. However, I think we should get these out as soon as possible" Danielle: "Yeah I don't like having these creepers hangin' out either - you say when Doc."

Needless to say I have a surgery scheduled for Monday afternoon 11/29. I'll be laid up for a couple weeks (4 to be exact), kinda like my own personal European Holiday. These last few day's and next couple of day's will be me trying to continue to recover from the small surgery last week and prep for the next couple of weeks. Christmas decorations are being put up (at least it's not TOO far off from Christmas), our new built in closet is being installed and should be completed today :) WOOHOOO, doing some big grocery shopping and will hopefully get ALL of my Christmas shopping done before as well.

Joe has been busy taking care of my and trying to get everything covered from the snows last week and the one coming in this week. He has been an amazing - being there every step of the way to hold my hand and still managing to run a million dollar snow operation. He has been my rock and I am soo thankful that God brought him to me.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving - I know I will be eating non-stop with the Busta's and Fulton's this year. And thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the warm thoughts and prayers and support. We truly have been blessed to have so many close family and friends.

Happy THANKSGIVING and Happy Shopping!

Our New Life as BLOGGERS!

Well it's a brave new world out there and while I've been a facebook fan for awhile I (Danielle) have never ventured much futher into the relem of Twitter, flicka, or blogs... until now. With the recent birth of my "nephew" Travis in Arizona I realized how disconnected we are. Minus the 7 word status updates, I realize that it's hard to take the time to chat with everyone often enough to feel connected. Sure you may be able to glene that I'm getting coffee or stuck in a traffic jam, but what is really going on will probably be missed.

Hence this blog.

My plan is to do a weekly update on what's going on in our lives. An while I know that many weeks may be uneventful - I hope that I (we if Joe decides to make a post) can at least make it entertaining :)
